Guerlain Shalimar EdP
Guerlain Shalimar is a soft, sandalwood fragrance that has become a true classic and legend in perfumery. Created in 1921 and launched in 1925, it was inspired by the love story of Princess Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal. "Shalimar" means "temple of love."
This floral-oriental composition is fervent, exotic, enveloping, and mysterious. The scent opens with luminous citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin. The heart blooms with a rich floral bouquet: iris, jasmine, and rose, blended with earthy accords of vetiver and patchouli. The fragrance harmoniously concludes with notes of vanilla, incense, opoponax, leather, musk, and civet, which form a deep, oriental, and unmistakable trail.
